Arama refutes claims that Jubilee is dead,says strategies on ahead of 2022

He urged those allied to Tangatanga wing to stop derailing the development agenda that the President is focused on.

Nakuru Town West MP Samuel Arama has refuted claims by a section of legislators that Jubilee party is dead.

In an interview,Arama stated that despite the party failing to clinch the Kiambaa Parliamentary seat in the recent by-election,it was restrategizing towards 2022.

He added that they will now through Parliamentary Group meeting request President Uhuru Kenyatta who is the party leader to consider calling elections at grassroot to national level.

This,Arama believes is the only way to do away with individuals who no longer subscribe to the party agenda.

“Even if we lost in Kiambaa,we are going to make Jubilee on of the strongest party in this country” he said.

The Legislator called on Kenyans to also vett leaders before electing them adding that there are politicians who are not true to the country with unrealistic agenda.

Arama who was elected on a Jubilee ticket for he current term maintained that President Uhuru Kenyatta’s administration is development-focused.

“We should give credit to President Uhuru Kenyatta for the work done on infrastructure.Even here in Nakuru West you can see” he said.

Nakuru Town West MP Samuel Arama has hit out at section of Day School heads for charging parents extra costs.

The furious Arama said this was uncalled for and those doing so were contravening the government policy on free secondary education.

He revealed that some day schools were forcing parents to pay extra money and interfering with the 100 percent transition.

The second term MP was categorical that dayschool secondary education is free and no parent should be forced to pay extra fee.

According to him,the feeding program for students in Day Schools should be an agreement between parents and school and should not be used to keep students out of School.

Arama who was speaking at NG-CDF office on Thursday during issuance of bursary cheques worth Ksh.20 million for needy students, said he will take up the matter with relevant ministry.

He added that if action will not be taken,then he will lobby parents and assess situation in schools where complaints have been raised.

“As far as I am concerned and as far as Jubilee administration is concerned Education in secondary Day Schools is free.Its against the law for school heads to demand extra money in the name of lunch.I will personally deal with this in Parliament” said Arama.

He added that the government will not condone such acts from school heads whom he insisted had no authority at the moment to send away students.

The Jubilee Legislator maintained that that he will work closely with administrators to ensure full transition to secondary.

He called for dialogue with the ministry of education officials whenever a school is in crisis instead of sending learners away.

“We want to ensure all children are in school as per government policy” said Arama.

Confirming the incident,Njoro Sub county police commander Jonathan Kisaka said the deceased had tried several times to take his life before the Sunday incident.

A 23-year-old Egerton University student on Sunday committed suicide over suspected depression.

Confirming the incident, Njoro Sub-county police commander Jonathan Kisaka said the deceased had tried several times to take his life before the Sunday incident.

The officer noted that the deceased identified as Edward Chege was living in a rental house just a few meters from the main campus.

“Yesterday we received a report of a suicide incident. The student might have been depressed for he had severally tried to take his life” he said.

The body of the deceased was taken to Egerton University Mortuary awaiting postmortem.

Mr Kisaka called on youths to share their problems with counsellors to avert such incidents.

“Depression is real and people should seek help,” he said.

Nakuru Governor Lee Kinyanjui has slammed Jubilee party Secretary General Raphael Tuju and Vice Chair David Murathe over predicaments facing the party.

Addressing a press conference in on Friday,the furious Kinyanjui said time is now that the two quit for failing.

He added that as leaders elected on Jubilee ticket,they will not sit and watch the duo destroy the party.

“We have lost confidence in their leadership.Both Tuju and Murathe their days in Jubilee are numbered.The Party belongs to the people,we are the ones who were elected and stake is with us.We will not watch as the party is destroyed by afew people” said Kinyanjui.

Kinyanjui who was elected on Jubilee party ticket and serving his first term said there is need for the party to b revived through new faces that can take it to the next level.

Jubilee party has in the recent days faced wrangles with a aecrsec of legislators now subscribing to United Democratic Alliance associated with Deputy President William Ruto.

Former Majority leader Aden Duale afew days ago declared Jubilee party as structurally dead and that UDA was the party to watch in the 2022 polls.
