County decries casual approach on COVID-19 threat among locals

COVID-19 Update

The County Government of Nakuru has decried the casual approach displayed by some people with regards to COVID-19 pandemic.

Governor Lee Kinyanjui said there is denial in the existence of the disease and the resultant reckless behaviour will have devastating results.

Over the last month, Naivasha, Nakuru Town East and Nakuru Town West sub-counties have recorded increased positivity rates.

“This is a worrying trend that will require the cooperation of each resident to overcome,” he said in a statement to newsrooms.

He urged members of the public to exercise utmost caution per the Ministry of Health recommendations.

The County is monitoring the COVID-19 infections and the Governor is expected to issue a comprehensive statement tomorrow.
